Estimate by Clustering
by: Karin

Hi Alexis,

I'm not really sure what your exact directions are, I'm assuming that you are asked to estimate the sum given the four numbers.

1. The first set of numbers are all very close to 60. You have two slightly less than 60 and two slightly greater than 60. So, multiply 60 x 4 (since you have four numbers) and you get 240. The sum of these four numbers is approximately 240.

2. The second set of numbers are all pretty close to 80. So, 80 x 4 = 320. The sum is approximately 320.

Best of luck,
Karin
