Hi Maya,

You are graphing two equations:
The first one is y + 3x = 4.

The easiest way to graph this is to rewrite it in slope intercept form.

y + 3x -3x = 4 - 3x
y = -3x + 4

-3 is the slope and 4 is the y-intercept.

Plot a point on (0,4) and then count a rise of -3(down 3) and a run of 1 (right 1).

Your second equation is y = 1. This is a horizontal line that passes through (0,1).
