Dear Anna,

I understand your frustrations. Many of the topics in the Algebra Curriculum are difficult to understand.

As far as life goes....

Many or most of these concepts will most likely reappear when you are studying for your major in college or your career. Especially if you go into a Science related field or medicine of any type.

I know that you may not be thinking that far in advance, but by the time you get to that point, concepts will be twice as difficult. So, think of this as the building blocks. It's sort of like learning to add whole numbers before you can learn how to add fractions.

The other very important thing to remember is that your brain is still developing and all of these math problems involve logical thinking. By learning these concepts you are helping your brain to develop and you are learning to improve your logical thinking skills.

You will be able to think through ordinary, everyday problems much easier as a result of studying and learning these Algebra concepts.

Keep working hard! It will all pay off one day when you least expect it!
