Hope this solution helps you to solve your problems:

(x/2) + 7 = 11

(x/2) +7 - 7 = 11 - 7 Subtract 7 from both sides.

(x/2) = 4 Simplify

2(x/2) = 2(4) Multiply both sides by 2

x = 8

I multiplied by 2 to get rid of 2 in the denominator.
