Solving Inequalities
by: Karin

We are going to solve this inequality just like we would solve an equation.

7+9x < 25
7-7 + 9x < 25 - 7 Subtract 7 from both sides
9x < 18 Simplify: 25 - 7 = 18
9x/9 < 18/9 Divide by 9 on both sides.
x< 2 Final answer.

The solution set is any number less than 2.

Hope this helps,
Karin
