Hi Ariel,

When an equation is written in standard form, you cannot have a lead coefficient that is negative. Right now, your lead coefficient is -2. So, you will need to multiply every term by -1 in order to make that lead term positive 2.

-1[-2x + y =3]

2x - y = -3

Hope this helps,
Karin
