Variables on Both Sides Problem
by: Karin

25u+74=23u+92

Step 1: Get the variables on one side by subtracting 23u from both sides.

25u - 23u + 74 = 23u - 23u + 92

2u + 74 = 92

Step 2: Get the constants on the other side by subtracting 74 from both sides.

2u + 74 - 74 = 92 - 74

2u = 18

Step 3: Divide both sides by 2 to get the variable by itself.

2u/2 = 18/2
u = 9

The solution is u = 9.

I hope this helps,
Karin
